Daily Schedule
We are excited and pleased to introduce you to the wonderful, passionate and committed educators who are working at Guto Learning Centre.
01. Morning circle
9:00 amMorning meeting is a time to greet everyone and start our day. Activities at morning meeting include children’s jobs, pledge of allegiance, calendar, weather, introduction of new letters and numbers of the week and introduce the days activities.
02. Child choice time:
9:00 a.m. – 9:25 a.m.A variety of developmentally appropriate activities that encourage learning in all areas of development, as well as a teacher facilitated activity.
03.Clean up time:
9:25 a.m. – 10:45 a.m.All children work together to clean up our class room.
04.Story Time
10:45 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.The teacher reads a story to the class relative to the current curriculum.
05. Snack time:
11:00 a.m. – 11:50 a.m.Our school has a peanut free policy. Children begin snack with hand washing and participate in serving and clean-up. Snacks include Goldfish, Cheez-its, Ritz, Saltines, pretzels or graham crackers. Water is provided with the snack.
06.Quiet time:
11:50 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.A short rest time (two minutes) at snack tables while listening to quiet music.
07.Physical activity:
9:00 amChildren participate in active play outdoors and in our indoor gym in cold or poor weather.
08.Goodbye:
2:15 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.Children gather personal items, receive handouts, and wait at the front door for dismissal.
09.Optional lunch bunch
12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.The Lunch Bunch Program is an extension of our day program and is offered twice a week on Monday and Friday (for the 3 Day Pre-Kindergarten Program) and on Tuesdays (for the 2 Day Preschool Program). This is an optional program of one hour from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. for an additional fee of $10.00 for the hour.
